|David Buttross is an Austin businessman, civic leader, and author of "Long-Term Greedy". Through his residential and commercial real estate investments, David owns a $60 million real estate portfolio comprised of $25 million in real estate notes and $35 million in real estate. Passionate about real estate and making deals of all sizes come to fruition, David's largest business ventures to date include: Buttross Properties, David Anthony, Inc., Buttross Group, and the Buttross Bank of Commerce. As a real estate and mortgage broker his real estate portfolio includes apartment complexes, churches, grocery stores, hospitals, hotels, office buildings, residential properties, and warehouses. Along with real estate investments, he lends money for and purchases distressed real estate. David holds a MBA from Texas State University and a Bachelor's in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin.
Dating back more than 100 years, David is part of a family of real estate-oriented businessmen. His grandfather and father ran respectable real estate operations and his sister is a real estate attorney. Married to Betsy Freeman Buttross, together they are the parents of three boys.
